|Allison graduated in 1999 with her teaching
credentials in elementary education and secondary mathematics education from
the state of Ohio. She then moved to London, England where she worked in the
technology department of the lower school at the American School in London
for many years. In this position she was able to teach technology classes
to grades pre-K to 4, plan technology integration with lower school staff,
and take charge of the myriad of computer classes offered through ASL’s
after school program.
|It was during this time that
she discovered her appreciation for using technology to enhance the educational
process as well as the innate excitement that all children have for these
wonderful tools. Since then, Allison has continued to work on new ways to
incorporate technology seamlessly into her teaching and private tutoring.
To this end, she attempts to keep up with the new hard and software entering
the market almost daily, and is on the threshold of completing her master
of arts in education in the curriculum and instruction program with a specialization
in computer education.
|Allison currently resides outside
of Boston, Massachusetts with her husband, Gregory, and their cat Neo. As
she eagerly awaits the arrival of her first child in May, Allison continues
to tutor students from elementary through college age in all subjects, including
standardized tests. In her spare time, Allison enjoys reading, horseback riding,
and traveling the world. To see more of Allison's adventures, visit photos.sibilance.com.
